Goddess Wine Recipe

 
Here is a scrumptious recipe for what we call Goddess Wine, more commonly referred to as May Wine because it is consumed to celebrate the beginning of  Spring in Europe.  The practice dates back to ancient Germanic pagan customs.  Even though it is usually consumed in May, mixing a batch of this up on October 11th would be a wonderful way to celebrate the Roman Goddess of Wine, Meditrina.

1 Bottle of Dry White Wine
1 Bottle of Sparking White Wine or Champagne
1 Lemon
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup (dried) Sweet Woodruff
A few sprigs of Lavender and/or Lemon Balm.

Place Sweet Woodruff in the bottle of dry white wine, re-cork and allow to steep overnight.  The next day, strain out the sweet woodruff so that only the wine infused with Sweet Woodruff remains.  Pour into punch bowl or large carafe. Pour in chilled sparking white/wine or champagne.  Squeeze the juice of  the lemon and stir.  Garnish with strawberries.  Add a few sprigs of Lavender and/or Lemon Balm and crushed ice if desired.

Chapter one is about recognizing our own spirit and understanding what feeds our spirit.  In this chapter Dr. Choquette explains that before we can connect with other spirits and guides, we need to learn how to connect with our own spirit.  She goes on to say that "if you're disconnected from, and insensitive to your spirit, chances are very high that you'll also be disconnected from any input from your guides as well".

There are assignments in each chapter of this book designed to guide the reader on their own unique path to learn how to connect with their guides and angels.  Assignment #1 is to "feed and nurture" my spirit.  I have made a list of activities that allow me to "feel fully engaged and peacefully involved".  I will do one or all of the things on this list for at least 15 minutes each week, working up to 15 minutes - 20 minutes each day as assigned in chapter one.

Animal Reiki Session with Jesse

Jesse, a black, one year old, domestic shorthair/siamese mix suffers from Feline Herpes Virus.  His symptoms include severe eye infections in both eyes, sneezing and a runny nose.  His appetite is good and his demeanor is friendly, playful and energetic.

A Reiki session was given given on April 23.  Jesse took charge of the Reiki session by sending images of a sprinkler that pops up to the highest chakra, sprinkles it with Reiki, then lowers to each of the six remaining chakras and sprinkles those in a similar manner.   Jesse seems to really enjoy Reiki and especially likes to lead the way to his own healing.

 The sneezing has subsided substantially since this Reiki session.  His eyes are still infected and his nose is runny intermittently, but much less than before.  Another Reiki session will be given tonight in addition to using antibiotic eye ointment and Lysine to help him fight this Herpes outbreak that most definitely flared up due to the stress of being adopted into our home on April 10th, 2011.

Goddess of the Month: Ostara

Ostara has also been spelled "Eostre" and "Eastre".  Have you ever wondered where the name "Easter" came from and why we focus on bunnies and eggs during this holiday?  It came from the European Pagan holiday and goddess "Ostara", the goddess of fertility, abundance, new beginnings, prosperity and personal growth.

Ostara is the Pagan holiday associated with Spring Equinox when the short, cold days and long frigid nights of Winter cycle into days and nights of more equal length, allowing more sunshine to penetrate the Earth.  Thus, the rebirth of the Sun...or some might view it as the resurrection of the Sun! :)

Los Angeles Earthquake of 2012?

 

Update 6.12.11

 3.4 earthquake struck Los Angeles on June 6, 2011 at 12:09 am (it actually woke my oldest son up and got him out of bed because the epicenter was only 5 miles from our home). My guides advised me that the reading that I performed in March (see below) was literal.  I interpreted the 12 to mean 2012, but the 12 was the hour and the reversed 6 was the minute...the reversed 6 was actually 9.  They considered a 3.5 to be the next big earthquake compared to the tiny earthquakes of 1's and 2's that happen frequently in Los Angeles.  

So the numbers they gave me were:  6,6,12,6(reversed to be 9) which = 6/6 at 12:09 (I believe the 12 was reversed to indicate am)  This reading was accurate and I would like to thank my guides for providing me with this information.

According to this reading and my spirit guides, the next big earthquake to strike L.A. will possibly be in June of  2012, more specifically 6.6.12 around 6pm.   6.6.6.12.

6.6.6.12  (the third reversed 6 refers to the time of day which I believe to be 6pm during rush hour traffic)

Ace of Pentacles refers to a new beginning...

Three of Cups refers to a celebration, which I believe is a timing card.  Something will be going on in or near L.A. around June 6 that draws crowds and people from out of town.

UPDATE:  Subsequent reading and information from my spirit guides indicate that the earthquake will be a 7.8 or 7.9.

The following information was discovered after searching for any significance of the date June 6, 2012: I found out that Venus will be transit on this date.  Venus begins its transit on June 5 and ends on June 6.  There is also a full moon on June 4th, whose effects will still be strong on June 6th. Se charts and additional info below.
